Carp with an increased content of omega 3 fatty acids

The Faculty of Fisheries and Water Protection, in cooperation with company Blatenská ryba and the Institute of Clinical and Experimental Medicine, has developed a technology of carp breeding with an increased content of omega 3 fatty acids.

Why carp?

In the Czech Republic, carp is the main and dominant species reared in ponds. Annual production varies between 18,000 tons depending on the season. Another reason is the tradition and history of breeding and eating carp, especially for Christmas holidays.

Why is this carp better?

Omega3kapr has a guaranteed content of beneficial unsaturated fatty acids in the body. Omega 3 fatty acids are substances indispensable to the human body, which cannot produce them themselves and must be taken in the food. They have many functions in the body - they reduce blood clotting, reduce cardiovascular disease, including arrhythmias, reduce blood pressure, strengthen brain and nervous system functions, and help improve the immune system.

What is the principle?

Fish are traditionally reared on selected ponds without significant interference with the aquatic environment. A fundamental change in breeding technology is the use of a special vegetable-based feed to provide a guaranteed content of unsaturated fatty acids in the meat. Each portion of omega3carp thus delivers to the body a guaranteed dose of the desired omega 3 fatty acids. More information here or on www.omega3kapr.cz.

What we offer?

We offer a patent and a trademark license. The licensing system is based on a payment for the produced amount of omega3carp. Only with respect to breeding conditions according to the patent can the desired values of fatty acids in the fish meat be achieved. This product can then be delivered to customers on the market with a figurative trademark representing the stylized fish and heart.
