Application for estimating water quality parameters (chemical and biophysical), especially shallow water reservoirs from satellite images. The software allows downloading satellite images from the Sentinel 2 satellite for a user-defined water area at a given time. The software then processes satellite data and converts them into water quality parameters. For this purpose, a water quality parameter estimation model trained from sampled pond data is used. After calculating the parameters, they are displayed in the user window in the form of a scale for the selected area.
The advantages of the solution are:
- Ease of use, when complex data analysis is automated
- Saving the user's costs for expensive water analyses in reservoirs (satellite data are free)
- Retrospective (parameters can be analyzed retrospectively)
- Providing spatial information about a given parameter - the user gets an overview of the spatial distribution of the monitored parameter within the entire monitored reservoir.
