Institute of Applied Health and Social Sciences - Practice Workplace
The Senior Centre is located in a building at Nerudova street 53a. It focuses on counselling, organizes memory training courses and lectures, and closely cooperates with the České Budějovice Parkinson Society Club. Since 2017, the Centre has also operated a Lactation Clinic and a Rheumatology Clinic. These clinics provide both counselling and health education activities in communities in the form of external lecture activities for the general public.

The Institute brings together three workplaces: the Senior Centre, the Centre for Prevention of Civilisation Diseases and the Centre for Physiotherapy. These workplaces offer their services to the general public and also function as clinical workplaces for practical training of students of selected fields of study at the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences, JU.
