CENTRE FOR PREVENTION OF CIVILIZATION DISEASES

Institute of Applied Health and Social Sciences - Practice Workplace

The Centre for Prevention of Civilization Diseases provides services related to the promotion of a healthy lifestyle and the prevention of modern diseases. At Nerudova ul. 53, where the centre is located, it also offers the services of a nutritionist and a personal trainer for fitness training. The centre has equipment and aids for fitness exercises and also measures triglycerides or lactate from capillary blood. By combining the services of a health clinic, a nutritionist and a fitness trainer, it offers effective advice for changing the lifestyle of clients. The centre allows people of different age groups to have their health checked and, based on the measured values, consult with experts on how to maintain or improve their health. Seniors are very interested in measuring blood pressure, cholesterol or body fat, but middle-aged and younger people are also becoming more interested; parents with children are also an important target group.
