Carp with increased omega 3 fatty acids
The Faculty of Fisheries and Water Protection, in cooperation with Blatenská Ryba and the Institute of Clinical and Experimental Medicine, has developed a technology for breeding carp with an increased omega 3 fatty acid content.
Why carp?
In the Czech Republic, carp is the main and dominant species bred in ponds. Annual production is around 18,000 tons depending on the season. Another reason is the tradition and history of breeding and consuming carp, especially during the Christmas holidays.
What makes this carp better?
Omega3 carp has a guaranteed and guaranteed content of health-promoting unsaturated fatty acids in its meat.
Omega 3 fatty acids are substances indispensable for the human body, which, however, cannot produce them itself and must be ingested in food. They have many functions in the body – they reduce blood clotting, limit the development of cardiovascular diseases including arrhythmias, reduce blood pressure, strengthen brain and nervous system functions and contribute to improving the body's defenses.

What is the principle?
The fish are bred in the traditional way in selected ponds without significant interventions in the aquatic environment. A fundamental change in breeding technology is the use of special feed based on vegetable oils, which achieves a guaranteed content of unsaturated fatty acids in the meat. Each serving of omega3carp thus provides the body with a guaranteed dose of the required omega 3 fatty acids. More at www.omega3kapr.cz
What do we offer you?
We offer a patent and trademark license to those interested in breeding omega3carp. The licensing system is based on payment for the amount of omega 3 carp produced. Only by complying with the breeding conditions according to the patent can the required values of the content of fatty acids in the fish meat be achieved. This product can then be supplied to customers on the market with a figurative trademark depicting a stylized fish and a heart.
