The annual conference of the European Association for Knowledge and Technology Transfer (ASTP) took place this year from 20 to 22 May 2026 in Bucharest, Romania. The meeting of approximately 350 representatives of transfer centres from all over Europe confirmed once again that it is one of the most important events in the field of knowledge transfer.
This year’s event was held in the spirit of the motto “Hot Topics & Cool Solutions”, which well captured the focus of the programme – connecting current challenges with concrete and practical approaches.
The programme was designed to combine interactivity and inspiration:
- The first day was devoted to thematic workshops, which emphasised the active involvement of participants and the sharing of practical experience.
- The second and third days offered a combination of a common introductory programme and parallel expert lectures, from which participants could choose according to their focus.
An integral part of the event were also opportunities for informal meetings during breaks, which provided space for networking and exchange of experiences across institutions and countries.
The content of the workshops and lectures reflected current topics in the field of technology transfer. The lecturers and moderators approached the individual topics in a factual manner and with an emphasis on the practical applicability of the presented knowledge, which the participants appreciated especially from the perspective of their everyday practice.
The Czech community was represented by 6 representatives from CETAV, the University of South Bohemia, Mendel University and UOCHB.
